शाकम्भरी नवरात्रि का पावन उत्सव यहां साल में दो बार मनाया जाता है।
माता शाकम्भरी को शाक भवानी भी कहा जाता है, मां शाक एवं वनस्पति की देवी मानी जाती हैं जो कि माता पार्वती का स्वरूप हैं और इसी अवतार में माता ने दुर्गम नामक महादैत्य का वध किया जिसके कारण मां की दुर्गादेवी के रूप में ख्याति हुई।
शाकम्भरी नवरात्रि को गुप्त नवरात्रि के रूप में भी जाना जाता है। यह पर्व नौ दिनों तक मनाया जाता है जो कि पौष माह के शुक्ल पक्ष की अष्टमी तिथी से शुरू हो कर माता के प्राक्टय दिवस पौष पूर्णिमा के दिन शाकम्भरी जयंती उत्सव के साथ पूर्ण होता है।
NAVRATRI
The sacred festival of Sakrambhari Navaratri is mainly celebrated here twice in a year. Mata Shakambhari is considered to be the incarnation of Shaky (vegetables) and Goddess of flora and Mother Parvati (Mother Durga). This festival is celebrated for the nine days dedicated to the Shukla Paksha of Paush month, beginning from the Ashtami of Paush Purnima, on the occasion of Shakmabhari Jayanti. Since tears rolled out from the eyes of the goddess continuously for 9 days and nights the biggest worship practice is the celebration of Navratra Mahotasav, held in the months of Chaitra and Ashwin for nine days each. Two more Navratras are also celebrated but they are known as “Gupt Navratras
